Radiohole present a stripped-down, bare-assed production of their smashed hit play Myth (or Maybe Meth?)
Radiohole and WFMU present an all-balls-to-the-wall, stripped-down, bare-assed production of the smashed hit Myth (or Maybe Meth?) at WFMU's Monty Hall with special guests Not Blood Paint. ONE NIGHT ONLY Monday, January 12, 2015. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 7:30 sharp. http://radiohole.com
In a shack somewhere in on steppe of Missouri three sisters drink Coke, eat hamburgers, fend off the local romantic axe-wielding WWI vet, and carry on the family business selling sweet jam. But the hamburgers aren't great and they long to return to their childhood home in Bayonne. Or Port-au-Prince. Or whatever. When Pa suddenly returns from Juárez hungry and spouting neoliberal ideology, the shit really hits the fan.
Written by Tom Murrin (a.k.a. the Alien Comic) in 1969, this new Radiohole version of Myth (or Maybe Meth?) was commissioned by and originally presented at First Annual Tom Murrin Full Moon Performance Festival in April 2014 at LaMama. Myth (or Maybe Meth) was nominated for a 2014 Bessie Award for Outstanding Revival.
Myth (or Maybe Meth?) features Radiohole's first-ever all-male (more or less) cast with Radiohole founders Eric Dyer and Scott Halvorsen Gillette along with Jim Findlay, Ilan Bachrach, Jon Okabayashi, Ryan Holsopple, Amanda Bender and the Lobster. Special Guests Not Blood Paint!
