Laugh In the New Year with George Hamm, Kelly MacFarland, and Carolyn Plummer
Happy New Year! **Special Event**
Portland's Own Funny One George Hamm along with Kelly MacFarland and Carolyn Plummer

About George:
Born and raised in Portland, Maine, George says it was his tour of duty in Hawaii with the U.S. Marines that propelled him onto the Stand-up Comedy Stage.  After cracking up his battalion in the Marines, Hamm returned to New England where his engaging manner gained him a great deal of attention.
George Hamm, Maineâs fastest rising Comedian comes to the stage with is sarcastic look on life and all it has to offer. Hamm has performed his comedy routines across the U.S. including at the Laugh Factory in Hawaii, the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Improv in Los Angeles and the Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory in Hollywood.
In March of 2006 he took his act to the Far East, performing in China and has just returned from Mexico. Hamm has also opened for bands such as Cheap Trick, The Del Fuegos, Tower of Power and blues legend Leon Redbone. He has opened for comedians Jay Mohr, Robert Schimmel, Bob Marley, Kevin Nealon, Anthony Clark and Harland Williams among others.

About Kelly:
As an experienced stand up comedian, Kelly has an extensive and well-rounded resume including comedy clubs, theaters, colleges and several television appearances. She has been the opening act for the international craze, Puppetry of the Penis. She has opened for Melissa Etheridge and LeAnn Rimes at both the Cape Cod Melody Tent and South Shore Music Circus. Kelly has appeared on Comedy Centralâs Premium Blend. You may recognize her from season one of NBC's hit reality series, The Biggest Loser. Kelly worked along side Fred Willard as part of the rambunctious news team of âTV Networkâ on Turner Entertainmentâs broadband site, SuperDeluxe.com.  Kelly is currently traveling the country with the Loretta LaRoche Women in Comedy Tour.  Aside from being an accomplished stand up comedian; Kelly is working her way to being a successful humor-wellness speaker. Speaking to diverse groups of individuals about fitness and health, she shares her life long journey to becoming an athlete through weight loss and acceptance of herself.  Sharing her life experiences in the unique way that only she can, Kelly leaves audiences pleasantly surprised by her candor.  She captivates the crowd with her charm, and her refreshing yet playful point of view makes her irresistible. Her alluring smile and intense energy keeps the audience wanting more.

About Carolyn:
Carolyn Plummer. God help us. Some comics rely on the monumental events of the day or the faux pas of the rich and famous. Not Carolyn. Carolyn pulls material from the hum-drum, day-to-day monotony of the life of everyman. And she does it well. To Carolyn the monumental is easyâitâs our existence thatâs so hard, yet so ridiculous. Some women look in the mirror and complain because they arenât pretty enough, not rich enough, not young enough. Carolyn gives her reflection the finger. The third child of a Congregational Minister and an âaloofâ home maker mother; âaloofâ? Sheâs clueless; her favorite band is Blootie and the Hoefish.â C.P. Carolyn learned early on that she could lament or she could make fun. See her once and youâll quickly figure out which path she chose. And youâll laugh. Possessing an uncanny ability to introspectively pull from places most of us hide, Carolyn puts a nail through the heart of whiners, self-loathers and the self-sorry of the world and makes the average seem hilarious and larger than life. Most of all, Carolynâs twisted perception of our common existence leaves audiences hysterically shaking heads in agreement with her assessment that the world is indeed a very funny place.
