Stairway of the Stars Orchestra Night February 18, 2015
For 66 years, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District has produced an annual musical extravaganza to share the outstanding music education programs in the district with the community that provides much of the support. The district's excellent music programs are featured in three nights of concerts called "Stairway of the Stars" at Santa Monica High School's historic Barnum Hall auditorium. The Wednesday, February 18th evening program is an ORCHESTRA NIGHT ONLY consisting of an Elementary Honor Orchestra and Middle and High School Orchestras.
ONLY ELEMENTARY HONOR ORCHESTRA GROUPS, AND MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL ORCHESTRAS WILL PERFORM WEDNESDAY EVENING.
Elementary, Middle, and High School Choirs will perform on Tuesday, February 10th only.
Elementary, Middle, and High School Bands will perform on Thursday, February 12th only.
Over the three nights, there are approximately 1,000 student performers involved in the Stairway concerts. This year, the concerts will take place on February 10th, 12th, and 18th, from 7:00 pm to about 8:30 pm. The concerts will be held in Barnum Hall on the Santa Monica High School campus.

The 2015 Stairway Honor Award Recipient will be the Gail Dorin Music Foundation.

All Stairway of the Stars concert tickets are for general admission/open seating. Any tickets remaining after the online sales period ends will be sold each evening at the box office only for that evening's performance. Thus, on Tuesday, February 10th, tickets will be sold ONLY for the Tuesday Stairway CHOIR concert, and on Thursday, February 12th, tickets will be sold only for Thursday's Stairway BAND concert. Likewise, tickets for the ORCHESTRA concert will be available only on Wednesday, February 18th. Ticket price is $15.00 each.
