(Reno, NV) Brüka Theatre announces the first installment in The Original "Werks" Series of the 2014/2015 season ON NOVEMBER 23, 2014. This series consists of original works from the Brüka ensemble, local and regional playwrights. The intent of the readings is to give authors a chance to hear their work read by actors in front of an audience. This is the first of three schedule readings this season. For a full schedule, please check our website at www.bruka.org. Tickets are $5 in advance and at the door. Free to Patron Gold Season Ticket Holders.
PLAY DESCRIPTION A Free Man is the story of one woman's journey through a dysfunctional life, an alien spaceship bed, and the ghost of Elvis Presley.
THE ORIGINAL "WERKS" SERIES Audiences will enjoy a staged play reading and a discussion immediately following with the author to provide feedback and an open forum about the process. Brüka Theatre does not alter the plays in any way, in an attempt to give the author, audience, and artists a deeper understanding of the process of play development by work-shopping ideas and new works.
