Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents The Larry Brown Group
Young, Fiery, and Swingin' are words associate with the Chicago based Larry Brown Group. This ensemble features bassist Emma Dayhuff, pianist Bill Cessna, with explosive drummer and Exodus Cymbal Endorsee Alfonzo Jones, and their band leader, Larry Brown Jr., on guitar, who has been paving his way to success as a musician, performer, educator. His album entitled "There Can Only Be One" is comprised of music that is fresh, innovative and captures the hearts of all music lovers, Brown's mission is to present world-class performances that entertain and inspire.
The group's goal is to move progressively forward by deepening their roots in tradition while reaching for new horizons.
