Stream Stewards
Class offered Fridays, January 23 February 27, 2015 at Island Lake John Horsley Center
Cost: $45 ($40 for early registration by January 2)
Stream Stewards is for people who want to learn about and protect our natural resources. Through this course, you will study local land and freshwater issues, while connecting with other like-minded people who are making a difference in the community.
In addition to the training and resources, we also provide and connect you with opportunities to volunteer in activities around Kitsap County, including tree planting, streamside restoration, stream sampling, and teaching others about watersheds, wetlands, streams, and salmon.
This class is open to the public, taught by local and regional experts, and covers topics such as Streams and riparian areas Forest health and diseases Wetlands and aquatic insects Fish and wildlife and their habitat Human interactions with the watershed
