January 25, 2015 Austin Chamber Ensemble presents "The Book of Goddesses in Music and Dance" at Bethell Hall, St. David's Episcopal Church 301 E. 8th Street at 2pm. Chaski (Shana Norton, harp; Adrienne Inglis, flute) celebrates their 30th season. This performance helps ACE fulfill its vision of collaborating with other Texas artists and arts organizations.We are pleased to support and present Chaski and help them celebrate 30 years of arts performances in the Austin area.
"The Book of Goddesses" is a newly-composed work by award winning and Grammy nominated composer Robert Paterson (Austin Symphony Texas premier of his work "Dark Shadows", May 2014). The event will include percussion by Dr. Matthew McClung, Corpus Christi, and choreography by Sophia L. Torres (Psophonia Dance Company) from Houston, TX. All are invited to stay for cake afterwards and a short 'meet and greet' with the composer and artists.
