Then and Again
Then and Again is an exploration of nostalgia. Through excavation of personal memories of the performers, choreographer, and residents of President Street, a cast of characters evolves to represent the congruent nostalgic longings of two generations. The work explores the irreversibility of the past in conjunction with the urge to recreate it. It illuminates the distinct characteristic of nostalgia as subjective, romanticized and idealized - serving ultimately as an autobiographical memory. Then and Again, is the culmination of Julie Bordonaro's MFA thesis at University Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Julie is thrilled to be featuring new work by Megan Bascom & Dancers and Laurel Snyder.
