3rd Annual Troy Murphy Ski Fundraiser
Hi Everyone!
My name is Troy Murphy, I'm a mogul skier on the U.S. Team from Bethel, ME. I compete on the World Cup tour, and am looking forward to my second season on the U.S. Team. This could be a big year for me, with the potential of qualifying for the 2015 World Championships in Austria! My ultimate goal is to bring home gold from the Olympics in South Korea, 2018.
In order to get myself to these World Cup competitions, which take place all across the globe, I must raise an estimated budget of $26,000 on my own. To help me and my family afford these expensive ski seasons, I have run fundraisers for the past 2 years in Bethel, ME, including a golf tournament we hosted on October 12th.
Following the success of the Golf Tournament, where we raised 10,000, we will be hosting a fun-filled evening to try to close the financial gap for his 2014-15 season! Please join us on Saturday, December 27th, at 6:00pm at the Barker Mountain Lodge for a dinner, silent & live auction, and an awesome time!
Following last year's fundraiser, I had my best season to date, highlighted by top 5 results in World Cups, being named the FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year, and making the U.S. Ski Team's "B" Team!
I would like to thank all of the golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and donors, both at the October 12th tournament, and in prior year's fundraisers. I would be no where near where I am in my skiing today if it wasn't for your help.
We have some additional money to raise to get me through this World Championship season, so mark your calendars for December 27th, and cruise up to Bethel to show your support! If you can't make it, you can still contribute using this website, every bit counts!
