Cycles in Beethoven's Piano Sonatas - SCC Piano Recital Series
Shoreline Community College continues the highly successful Piano Series with three recitals by Shoreline's distinguished piano faculty and their guests. This 2009-10 series presents unique programs of solo and ensemble music. The first installment features Dainius Vaicekonis presenting a lecture-recital illuminating Beethovenâs approach to an opus as a unified set of several organically coherent pieces. You will hear two âtrilogiesâ of piano sonatas â Op. 10 and Op. 31, where each set will be performed in a manner of one work.
