IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY FOR SEATTLE CLOTHING-OPTIONAL BEACHES!
Seattle Mayor-Elect Mike McGinn http://new.seattle.gov has created a new website to hear feedback about issues important to local citizens and those who visit alike. Voting on this site is the easiest and most direct way to get this important issue to the attention of Seattle's New Mayor Mike McGinn! Please help us bring this issue to his attention whether you live in Seattle or plan on visiting and want to have the optional of going to a designated clothing-optional beach!
Please vote (you can use up to *3* of your 10 allowed votes (each category gets 10 max votes)) at the Seattle Mayor's new website, Ideas for Seattle:
http://bit.ly/7V61rA
Its very quick and easy to setup an account so you can vote!
Currently our idea is ranked 4th in popularity. Please help us make clothing-optional beaches Seattle's #1 priority! It only takes a few minutes. Please also leave comments on the idea with your vote!
ALTERNATING VENUES?
We may be alternating between Southwest Pool and Ballard Pool in 2010 because people like different amenities at the different pools.
Southwest Pool has a 25 yard/6 lane pool with a temperature of 85 degrees, a 1M diving board, 3M diving board, 102 degree Therapy Spa and Sauna! That's a warmer hot top and they are also advertising a sauna! It was a big hit in Nov 2009! Ballard Pool is also popular with its rope swing, slide and location.

INTRODUCTION
Yay for cool weather season events! Don't let those let yourself get out of tip top shape over the Fall and Winter! There is an abundance of activities for everybody including a pumpkin run, yoga and indoor sports. Announcing our annual series of indoor pool swims!
Come enjoy Ballard Pool's (with the exception of 14 Nov 2009 which is at Southwest Pool) recently renovated facility with pool, hot tub, slide and the popular rope swing! This is the fourth year we have had such swims hosted at City of Seattle aquatic facilities!
ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER
These swims will primarily serve as a fundraiser for expenses during the 2009 World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) Seattle http://WNBRseattle.org + Gardens Everywhere Bike Parade (GEBP) http://GardensEverywhereBikeParade.org events. 85% of even proceeds will go toward those expenses and 15% will return to back to our collaborative partner Body Freedom Collaborative (BFC) to help fund future swims. Much needed funds will help WNBR Seattle/ and GEBP founder Daniel Johnson recover money for expenses he had for recent WNBR Seattle events. Can you think of of a more fun way to raise money? If so, please contact us! :)
POTLUCK
The potluck is as cool as you make it! If you plan on participating in our potluck, please bring a dish (preferably vegetarian with non-refined, non-processed, whole food ingredients). Please don't be a mooch! Please also take your food home with you after the event and cleanup after yourself! Aquatic staff may also participate in potluck if they contribute.

ADMISSION/TICKET INFO
Here is what you need to know to attend the event.
(1) Events are PRIVATE, not open to the public. You need to be PRE-APPROVED by event staff for admission to the event. (1a) All applicants may be required to provide information for and must pass an inquiry made to the National Sex Offender Public Registry (NSOPR). Information provided for this inquiry must be confirmed with a Washington State driver license or Washington State identification card. For more information on this procedure, please send your full name and full address including the name of the county you reside to Daniel Johnson BEFORE attending a swim event. (1b)To ensure we are all among friends and people who understand our values we are making the event semi-private, restricting attendance to people who are know to be in good terms in multiple networks including the greater Seattle arts community, World Naked Bike Ride, Gardens Everywhere Bike Parade, Love Every Body, Seattle Free Beach Campaign, Solstice Cyclists, Body Pride Ride, nudist/naturist community, Naked Pumpkin Run, Burning Man Community networks and friends, families and coworkers. (1c) New Participants outside of the above networks may join either Body Freedom Collaborative (BFC) http://BodyFreedom.org or Organic Living Party (OLP) http://organicparty.org (note: contact info may be out of date on those sites) OR make a direct donation to World Naked Bike Ride Seattle or Gardens Everywhere Bike Parade (GEBP) or Hemp Ride check to qualify for admission. BFC or OLP membership annual memberships are $10 - $15, sliding scale. Similarly WNBR, GEBP or Hemp Ride donations may be made at $10 - $15, sliding scale. Any of these options ALSO REQUIRE passing NSOPR check. Contact Daniel Johnson for more information (see contact info below).
(2) Seattle Swim events are PARTICIPATORY, CLOTHING-OPTIONAL with a FAMILY-ORIENTED and NON-SEXUALIZED atmosphere. (2a) If there is ANY reason for the Seattle Swim Staff to think that a person may be attempting to attend any of the WNBR Seattle Fundraiser for an inappropriate reason, he or she will be refused admittance. (2b) Participants understand this is a private event and they may be asked by event staff to modify their behavior and/or leave.
(3) For QUESTIONS, general info or for pre-approval contact Daniel Johnson about how to participate by phoning him at (206) 369 - 2661 (mobile) or by e-mail at jointhefun@WNBRseattle.org
(4) Everybody who attends events must pay a Seattle Swims Seasonal Registration Fee for $5 which will be good for all Fall 2009 and Winter/early Spring 2010 swims. Pre-registration information must be confirmed before each swim event admittance. (4a) You can either pay your $5 Seasonal Registration Fee separately and buy swims separately as the season progresses OR (4b) You can purchase discounted swim packages which include the Seasonal Registration Fee with the option of buying more swims later.
(5) Admission can be purchased conveniently online OR by paying Daniel Johnson directly. (5a) Online Tickets: Admission Packages are now available at special pre-event prices online via Brown Paper Tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/92726 (event awaiting approval, check back on Friday, 11 Dec 2009 for purchasing tickets) (5c) For people who prefer to pay Daniel Johnson directly, there is a catch. Due to Seattle Parks & Recreation policy, we cannot accept payment on Seattle Parks & Recreation Property without jumping through a lot of ridiculous bureaucratic hoops that we are not willing to adhere to at this time. Tickets are NOT available for sale on Seattle Parks & Recreation property (including in front of building or in the parking lot). To discourage people from paying on the day of the event, we provide discounts for paying in advance, including through online ticketing. People who pay on night of swim must pay $12.50/swim for drop in tickets and CANNOT pay on Seattle Parks & Recreation property.
Prices are as follows: $11.00/swim for seven*** swim package $77.00 + $5 Seattle Swims Season Registration = $82.00 (12% off cash sale price before BPT fees**) $11.25/swim for six swim package $67.50 + $5 Seattle Swims Season Registration = $72.50 (10% off cash sale price before BPT fees**) $11.50/swim for four swim package $46.00 + $5 Seattle Swims Season Registration = $51.00 (8% off cash sale price before BPT fees**) $12.00/swim for two swim package $24.00 + $5 Seattle Swims Season Registration = $29.00 (4% off cash sale price before BPT fees**) $12.25/swim for one swim package $12.25 + $5 Seattle Swims Season Registration = $17.25 (2% off cash sale price before BPT fees**)
NOTE: Note: Over the years, the costs of using Ballard Pool have gone up. Because of this, our ticket prices have gone up slightly. Extra swim/s available for same price as pre-sale package tickets purchased. Seven swims are considered a season pass for the 2009/2010 season.
(6) Other Admission Prices (6a) Bring a GUESTS (sponsored by you) for the first time and they pay only $11. If the guest returns they must go through Approval/Admissions process and buy a Seattle Swims Seasonal Registration Fee for $5 (6b) Children and teens under 18 years of age will be admitted (free of charge) only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by adult guardian at all times. (6c) Students with proof of enrollment may be able to receive discount price. (6d) Other admission prices, not advertised widely, may be available. People who have financial challenges are urged to contact Daniel Johnson.
(7) In the event of cancelled swims or unused tickets, credits toward swims may be used toward future events or the value may be donated to WNBR Seattle + GEBP.
(8) All participants must follow Seattle Parks & Recreation aquatic facility rules, unless otherwise specified by the City.
(9) Photography and videography of the swims will be strictly regulated by the organizers. Photography will be allowed only on pre-approval of the organizers and for only a set amount of time in set locations; we will strive to ensure that no one will ever be photographed without his or her explicit and informed permission. In short, cameras, PDAs, and mobile phones will not be allowed in the pool area without close pre-approval and pre-approval of those being photographed or filmed. Coin-operated lockers are available in the changing rooms to store your cell phones.
(10) Lockers require one quarter. Bring your own towel or pay $2.00 for towel rentals (limited availability).
