May Seminar presented by IFP-Phoenix - Cinematography
Join us at the Phoenix Film Center at the Metro Arts Institute on May 12th at 1:00pm for an educational seminar on filmmaking.
TOOLS: Cinematography/ Camera Operations/ 1st AC Hosted by Joe Gruberman
Directors who've spent any amount of time behind the lens know how complicated and exacting a task it is to orchestrate the perfect series of camera movements in order to "get the shot". Beyond lensing there are many other tasks involved in getting the scene onto film or video tape.
Several people and pieces of equipment must work in perfect synchronization, otherwise time and resources are wasted or, even worse, the footage is unusable. Are you crewing your project with enough of the right people? Does your budget include the essentials tools for your videographer?
This month's session will include a discussion of the roles of those crew members responsible for your camera operation. Actual equipment and experienced personnel will be on hand to discuss tools and techniques.
The Phoenix Film Center is located at 1700 N. 7th Ave. It's north of I-10 on the west side of 7th Ave, just north of McDowell.
