The New Portuguese Table: Exciting Flavors from Europe's Western Coast
On Friday, January 22, take a trip to Portugal and join us for an evening with David Leite, during which he will talk about his journey to this beautiful country and the adventures and discoveries he experienced while writing his new cookbook, The New Portuguese Table: Exciting Flavors from Europe's Western Coast (Clarkson Potter 2009).
While listening to David, we will taste dishes from the book (Tuna Paste or Olive Paste; Pumpkin Seeds; Pork A Alantejana; and Orange and Olive Oil Cake) and sip Portuguese wines. Books will be available for purchase.
David Leite is a three-time James Beard Award-winning writer and website publisher (www.leitesculinaria.com). His work has appeared in several national media outlets, including the New York Times, Gourmet, and Bon App‚tit. He was raised in Fall River, MA, one of the largest Portuguese communities in the United States, and became a Portuguese citizen in 2004.
