Moss and Lichen - Presentation by Pheobe Goit

The class will include:
General information about moss and lichens
The relationships between moss, lichens, and other plants and growing things
Structure and growth patterns
Identification - both characteristics to note, and information on several species of each that are easy to recognize
Phoebe asks that everyone brings a twig with moss or lichen on it to the class. For better viewing, please bring a hand lens.
The cost of the class is $6. This cost is to cover the printed material which includes (advanced registration is required):
A list of books and websites recommended by Phoebe on mosses
A list of books and websites recommended by Phoebe on lichen
A lovely laminated, color handout of common mosses and lichen for you to enjoy on your walks and adventures
