Lorenzo Caponetti's Olive Oil
Join Slow Food NYC in the Back Room at Jimmy's No.43 to meet Lorenzo Caponetti. Lorenzo is a Renaissance kind of guy..an architect, forester and rural planner, agricultural historian, and organic farmer. On his 125 acre farm near Tuscania in Lazio, he produces extra virgin olive oil from 430 olive trees bearing Canino olives, typical to his region in northern Lazio. Lorenzo practices sustainable agriculture relying on hydraulic irrigation methods inspired by ancient Etruscan irrigation methods suitable to the arid climes of the Mediterranean. Lorenzo will talk about his region, his farm, his methods, and his olive oil and will invite you to try his product.
