LA DERBY DOLLS - MAR 27 - RI-ETTES v TEAM LEGIT (Washington State's ALL STAR LINEUP)
For the first time this season, the L.A. Derby Dolls (www.derbydolls.com/la), Southern Californiaâs premiere womenâs banked track roller derby league, will showcase their all-star team, the L.A. Ri-Ettes, when the hard-hitting squad meets Team Legit, a challenge team of flat track skaters from the West Coast, on Saturday, March 27 at the Doll Factory (1910 W. Temple Street 90026). Then on Sunday, March 28, the L.A. Derby Dolls will feature up-and-coming skaters in 2010âs first Baby Doll Brawl, open to all ages.
The L.A. Ri-Ettes are the L.A. Derby Dolls all-stars: the best players in the league. Captain Tara Armov (Fight Crew) and Co-Captain LEGacy (Tough Cookies) are league veterans and formidable blockers in their own right, leading a team of L.A. favorites like Lace Nâ Arsenic (Varsity Brawlers), Krissy Krash (Tough Cookies), Amber Alert (Sirens), and many more. Theyâre the best in L.A., but how will they measure up when faced with Team Legit, all-stars from all over the West Coast?
Made up of experienced, talented skaters from mostly Seattle (but also including San Francisco, Portland and Denver), Team Legit members forgo the convention of clever derby names and choose instead to skate under their legal names. Make no mistake that this team of flat track all-stars means serious business. Captained by one of the nationâs best jammers, Lacey Evans (aka Carmen Getsome of Seattleâs Rat City Rollergirls), Team Legit has much to prove.
Between the Rain City and the City of Angels, the West Coast is home to some of the best banked track roller derby skaters in the world. When these skaters go head to head, which West Coast Powerhouse will dominate? Find out on Saturday, March 27th at the Doll Factory
This event is 21+ and doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Door closes at the end of halftime. So please don't be late!

Parking is available for $8 at Silver Lake Medical Center, 1711 West Temple (near the intersection of Temple and Union), one block east of the Doll Factory. NO NEIGHBORHOOD PARKING IS ALLOWED.
Please note - Security will escort anyone with outside beverages out of the Doll Factory and you WILL NOT BE ALLOWED REENTRY! So buy your drinks inside the venue!
