Klopotic-Pierce-Zoernig Trio in Concert on November 13 at Manhattan's DiMenna Center for Classical Music
The acclaimed Klopotic-Pierce-Zoernig Trio will be in concert on Thursday, November 13 8:00 PM in Mary Flagler Cary Hall of the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th St. in Manhattan.
Performers will be violinist Julianne Klopotic, cellist Lawrence Zoernig and pianist Joshua Pierce.
Repertoire will be Beethoven's Fourteen Variations on An Original Theme in Eb Major, Op. 44 and Schubert's Piano Trio in Bb Major, Op. 99.
Tickets for the November 13 concert are $20, which includes post-concert reception. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go to the Klopotic/Pierce/Zoernig Trio recording project.

Julianne Klopotic, violinist, is winner of the Artists International Solo Competition, and a grant recipient of the Mikhashoff Trust for New Music and NY Women Composers Society. She has performed chamber music with pianists Awadagin Pratt, John Root, Joshua Pierce, Samuel Sanders and Leon Pommers, accompanist to Nathan Milstein. She has performed as soloist and chamber musician at numerous festivals and major halls in NYC and abroad as well as premiering many works by living composers. She is founder of the Light and Sound Concert Series, and has also performed with The American Microtonal Music Festival, Present Music, Music Under Construction, The Silk Road Project, SEM, Alarm Will Sound, with composers Elodie Lauten and Phillip Glass, the Jupiter Symphony, Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra of St Luke's. She can be heard on A&M, Arista, American Federation of Microtonal Music, 4-Tay, Colombia, Durtro, Electra, Geffen, Equal Vision, Naxos, Pitch, Polygram, Restless, Socialist, Stockholm, Sony Classical, TTP, Touch and Go and Universal records.
Lawrence Zoernig has been principal cellist of many New York symphony and chamber orchestras, including New York Chamber Orchestra, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Bachanalia and Opera Manhattan. As a chamber musician, he performs frequently with the Goliard Ensemble and Bachanalia. He has appeared as soloist and chamber musician at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Steinway Hall in New York and the Phillips Collection and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
Grammy nominated pianist Joshua Pierce has performed in prestigious music centers throughout the world as a soloist and with an extraordinary array of orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonia, Symphony Orchestra of Russia, Moscow State Philharmonic, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has recorded more than 200 works including numerous world premieres as a soloist and with orchestra for EMI Classics, Carlton Classics, Helicon, Koch International Classics, MMC, MSR Classics, Pro Arts, Sony Classics, Vox and other labels.
