Raven Tales - How Raven Stole the Sun
Animation 25 min Canada
In the time before the light and life came to the land, the world was dark and unformed. Raven, who lived during this time of creation, was bored and complained constantly to his brother Eagle, who tried his best to ignore him. One day, Frog tells them about an old man who keeps the sky, the stars, the moon and the light of the world in a set of boxes in his hut by the river. Curious, Raven transforms himself into a spruce needle and is swallowed by the old mans daughter as she drinks from the river.
Raven sleeps and grows inside the girl until he was born as a Raven-child. Using all his powers of persuasion, his childish charisma and the odd temper tantrum, he persuades the old man to open the boxes.
