OzCon 2015 / Winkie Con
On-line registration has ended for OzCon 2015. You may still register for OzCon in person at the convention. The OzCon registration office will open at 9 AM in Ascot on Friday, July 31.
Join us for our 51st annual Oz convention! We will again be meeting in beautiful San Diego - a city with many connections to L. Frank Baum, the creator of Oz. Baum spent winters at the Hotel Del Coronado and then rented a house in Coronado where he wrote the fifth Oz book, The Road to Oz. The coast of La Jolla was a starting point in several of Baum's fantasies, including The Scarecrow of Oz, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2015!
OzCon 2015 will feature all our traditional activities: Oz quizzes for all ages and levels, the Oz Treasure Hunt, the Oz Art Show, Dealers Room, and Oz Show and Tell to share your rare and wonderful Oz discoveries, panel discussions, displays, and super after-parties.
Get on your cOZplay for the OzCon Costume Contest! Dress as your favorite Oz or Oz-related character to show your costume-making expertise. $100 cash prize for Best Adult Costume and $50 for Best Child Costume. There is also $50 cash for the Best Theme Prize.
And tickets are now available for our gala Royal Banquet, too!
