College of marin Drama presentsPaul Sills' STORY THEATRE
College of Marin Drama Department
offers a holiday gift for the whole family!

The College of Marin Drama Department will present Paul Sills' STORY THEATRE, adapted for the stage from the Brothers Grimm and Aesop, in the Studio Theatre on the Kentfield Campus on December 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 8 pm with matinees on December 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 2 pm.  Paul Sills is the original director of the famed Second City Theatre Company in Chicago.  STORY THEATRE grew out of improvisational works done at Second City after the Chicago riots in 1969.  The show eventually went to Broadway where it enjoyed a very successful run.  STORY THEATRE will be directed by Lisa Klein, who, in addition to her teaching duties at the College, is director of DolphinTales StoryTheatre, is also a BATS (Bay Area Theater Sports) Sunday Player alumni and a Laughingstock coach.

STORY THEATRE is made up of stories that won't go away; stories that have lasted through the ages; stories of our lives that allow us to find ourselves, no matter what our age may be,  reflected in the mirror of the fairytale funhouse.  They're all there: The Bremen Town Musicians, Henny Penny, The Little Peasant and others!  And through the genius of Paul Sills' adaptation, there is something for everyone and every age in these timeless tales.  They are current!  They are relevant to our busy modern lives, yet still filled with magic and wonder!  If you're an adult, bring a child!  If you're a child, bring an adult!  What a great way to begin the holiday season!

Tickets for STORY THEATRE are $15 general; $10 for students/seniors and College of Marin employees; and $5 for children 12 and under.  To reserve tickets, call the College of Marin Box Office at 415-485-9385.  VISA and MasterCard are accepted and group rates are available.  The Box Office is open Tuesdays 3-6 pm; Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-7 pm; Fridays 3-Curtain and one hour before curtain for Saturday and Sunday performances.  Or, if you prefer, you may reserve tickets by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006.
