Featured Artist~ Chad Goller-Sojourner
Chad Goller-Sojourner is a Seattle based solo performer and recipient of a distinguished 2008 Artist Trust/Washington State Arts Commission Performing Arts Fellowship. His work explores how the narrow categories we assign ourselves and others inevitably fail to represent our whole selves. In July 2008, his highly anticipated solo show, Sitting in Circles with Rich White Girls: Memoirs of a Bulimic Black Boy, debuted at Seattle's Brownbox African-American Theatre.
Also featuring: Luzviminda Carpenter She challenges oppression individually and collectively through works including poetry, curriculums, presentations, and consultations.
Crystal Ybarra She has been said to rip through barriers with abandon with raw, unapologetic writing, drawing from realities of life and mind. An unforgettable and moving performer.
Ela Barton Top ranked at the International Women of the World Poetry Slam in 2009; acclaimed repeat performer at the Seattle Poetry Slam Grand Slam.
Marita Isabel A Filipina American queer diva who has found words to be healing, sustaining and necessary through work as a performance poet.
