Ebenezer: An Immersive Christmas Carol
Back by popular demand!
Step into the bleak and biting world of Charles Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" in this sandbox-style entertainment experience. In partnership with Chloe's, the hidden bar within the Golden Road Brewing Company in Atwater Village, The Speakeasy Society presents an unconventional adaption of this holiday classic.
Follow in the steps of Ebenezer Scrooge on this fateful night as he is visited by supernatural forces that confront him with visions of his past, present, and future. Can he alter these shadows of what may be, or will he wear the chains he forged in life for all eternity?
Create an intimate relationship with the story, characters, and environment: Play a round of pool with Fred, Scrooge's nephew, have a drink with the ghost of Marley, or follow Ebenezer's journey as he confronts his own mortality. And, stick around for the grand finale to discover Scrooge's fate!
The piece is performed in three one-hour cycles, but you won't be able to see everything in one go! Follow different characters each hour to see alternate sides of the story. You can stay for as long as you wish and purchase food and drink at the bar.
What better way to ring in the holiday season than sharing in the adventure with the Speakeasy Society? With food, drink, and frivolity in abundance, this is one "Christmas Carol" that you'll never forget.
Guests are free to leave at any time. There is no reentry. Grand Finale at approximately 11:30pm.
