2015 Kick-off PFA Ava Gene's Joshua McFadden w/ Guest Chef Ethan Stowell at Roman Candle
Two Northwest powerhouse chefs who have earned impressive local, regional and national acclaim, team up to kick off the 2015 season of Portland Food Adventures with a special PFA-style dinner in the beautiful and intimate space at ROMAN CANDLE BAKING COMPANY next door to Ava Gene's.
Portland's own Joshua McFadden, who has garnered praise from Portland Monthly's 2013 Restaurant of the Year to Bon Appetit's #5 Best New Restaurant in the USA, joins Seattle's Ethan Stowell, whose portfolio of ESR Restaurants runs the gamut from the storied Staple & Fancy to Anchovies & Olives, How to Cook a Wolf, to the brand new additions, Chippy's and mkt. He's been nominated for several James Beard Awards and his restaurants have also been named high up on Bon Appetit's best new restaurant lists.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to enjoy the best of the Northwest with other food-loving people, including Chef McFadden and Stowell's favorite spots, in the comfortable confines of The Roman Candle space.
Everyone will leave with gift certificates to two of Joshua's favorite spots: Pizza Maria, Bollywood Theater (this is a change from what was previously listed) and Ethan Stowell is inviting you up to one of his many restaurants in Seattle with a gift card as well.
Portland Food Adventures events are a great date idea, and perfect for clients or small groups. Multiple FOOD/DRINK EXPERIENCES FOR THE PRICES OF ONE TICKET! Multi-course dinner and wine/drinks AND GRATUITY, ALONG with certificates are included in the $135 ticket.
(Note: The variance from the normal price is not a new price for 2015. A collaboration with a guest chef from another city has different cost factors than our usual dinners.)
This one will sell out fast, so please don't wait.
A portion of proceeds will go to benefit Oregon Dog Rescue.
