Miracle on 34th Street - presented by Reader's Theater
In 1947, 20th Century Fox released the film "Miracle on 34th Street." It went on to win three Academy awards and become a Christmas favorite for decades to come. This holiday season Readers Theater is proud to present the next in the series of their holiday productions, a performance of "Miracle on 34th Street."
It is a heartwarming tale of a man who believes he is Santa Claus, and how, over time, he turns all the unbelievers in New York City into believers. In the course of their transformation they come to discover the true, generous meaning of this holiday.
This version has been adapted for Readers Theater by David Skibbins from the play version adaptation written by the Mountain Community Theater and presented with the permission of Dramatic Publishing.
The cast will include many members of the Readers Theater group. As in previous years live music will be performed by Don Krieger and live sound effects with be created by Sabina Walla. Performance dates will be evenings, December 19 and 20 and a matinée on December 21.
It is appropriate for the whole family, so come join us in celebrating the holidays with theater. Advance tickets $10 adult, $5 youth 17 & under; $5 more day of performance.
