Anything Goes
North East School of the Arts proudly presents Cole Porter's Anything Goes, as the first musical theater production of NESA's 2014-2015 season.
With music and lyrics by Cole Porter, the original book of ANYTHING GOES was written by Guy Bolton, P.G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, then heavily revised by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman for the 1988 Broadway revival. Madcap antics abound aboard an ocean liner sailing from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy #13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope. The musical features such classic Cole Porter songs as "Anything Goes", "You're the Top", "It's De-Lovely," and "I Get a Kick Out of You."
The performance dates are November 6, 7, 8 and November 13, 14, 15 at 7:30pm and November 9 and 16 at 2:30pm. All performances are at the Robert E. Lee High School Theatre.
