SPCPA Instrumental Music Winter Concert Date: Thursday, December 4th Location: The SPCO Music Room Concert time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM [Student call time: 6:15pm]
Additional Concert Information: This year's concert will feature both the Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble! The concert runs roughly 2 hours starting with the Orchestra followed by the Jazz Ensemble.
Featured Orchestral works include: Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on Greensleeves and Saint-Saƫns's Bacchanal.
Featured artists on the Jazz program include works by Jazz legends Charles Mingus, Jaco Pastorius and Cannonball Adderley, to name a few.
At SPCPA, we would like to ensure that students are given the opportunity to perform in a professional venue. As such, ticket sales are set at $8 to offset the cost of the rental. Please make sure to secure your ticket in advance as space is limited!
Instrumental students are expected to stay after the concert to help transport equipment back to the Lowry at the end of the evening. We are also looking for parent volunteers to help haul the percussion and large equipment back to the Lowry. If you are interested in assisting with the percussion transportation, please email Nick Gaudette at gaudetten@spcpa.org.
