Vienna Ball
If you are in the mood for something Viennese and looking for a romantic way celebrate Valentine's day, then don't miss the Salt Lake Symphony's annual Vienna Ball on Saturday February 14th,2015, from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight,at the University of Utah's Union Ballroom in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This fundraising event with dinner, dancing, silent auction, and live music provided by the Salt Lake Symphony is the only traditional Viennese Ball in Utah, with visitors attending from out-of-state.

Enjoy the ambiance of the Union Ballroom on the University of Utah campus as the Symphony fills the hall with some of the world's greatest melodies and you enjoy savory Viennese-style dining.

Our emcee this year is a well-known figure on the local music scene, Steve Williams.

Sorry folks, the Union will not allow any alcohol at the Vienna Ball this year: even in cleverly disguised packages.

The evening will include floor shows by the BYU Ballroom Dance team, contemporary standards by the Mark Chaney Jazz Trio, and a variety of items up for bid at the silent auction.

Menu for the Vienna Ball

All dinners are served with:
Baguettes with Butter
Fritaten Souppe (beef broth with pieces of crepes)
Apple Strudel with Whipped Cream
Cranberry Spritzer
Ice Water

Main Dish:

Sauer Braten
Top Sirloin with Currant Sauce, Kartoffel- Diced Potatoes with Butter and Parsley, Rot Kohl and Apfel- Red Cabbage with Apple Sauce

Q&A

Question: Could you tell me the difference between the reserved and general seating? I understand that the former is on the dance floor. Is that the primary difference? If I get general seats is there any chance that I won't have a seat?? Thanks!
Answer: Reserved tables are the ones that line the dance floor. Easy dance floor access and better view for the floor shows. General seating is behind the reserved. You will always get a seat! No standing room allowed.
