Sarah's Blessing

Sarah's Blessing is a Christmas story with an Easter ending. This musical with 13 original songs written by Sharon Bettencourt and Marsha Borrelli-Silva brings the children's book, "Sarah's Blessing" authored by Marsha Borrelli-Silva to life. It tells the story of a little Jewish girl's adventures on the night that Jesus was born. It follows "Sarah", from her house, to the hillside, and then on to the manger in Bethlehem. She meets a lot of interesting characters, and sees a lot of strange things as she makes her way to Bethlehem. Just when it seems the story has ended it takes you into Sarah's future where her "Blessing" is revealed. Drawing from the communities of Gustine, Newman, and Patterson this musical is a real West Side event. A 30 voice choir and actors & actresses who range in age from 4 to 60 make this musical one that can be enjoyed by the entire family. A perfect way to begin the holiday season.
