Beer U: Coffee Beers

Many have to choose between coffee or beer, but not you, dear Beer U goer.

On November 10th, we'll be lighting up your tastebuds and your neurons with an impressive array of coffee-laced brews and an in-depth look at the relationship between beer and coffee. Liberty Station Brewing Manager, Kris Ketcham, and Liberty Station Certified Cicerone, Kyle Suckiel, will be guiding you through the evening's tastings and giving you the inside scoop on how coffee is used in the brewing process.

Beer won't be stealing the show (though we may favor it slightly), for we will also have Tom Ryan, of Ryan Bros Coffee, on hand. A venerable edifice in the San Diego coffee community, and long time partner for Stone Brewing (they lent a helping hand - err, coffee bean - to our Stone ESPRESSO Imperial Russian Stout and our Stone Coffee Milk Stout), Tom will educate you on the ins and outs of how coffee beans are roasted, treated, and the many, many different kinds of coffee that exist.

Join us on the 10th, and you'll leave a little hopped up on caffeine and buzzing with new-found knowledge on the symbiotic relationship between your two favorites: coffee and beer.
