The Imaginary Invalid
Playright Constance Congdon has taken the world of Moliere and turned it on its head in her modern and very funny adaptation of "The Imaginary Invalid". The invalid, Argan is so frustrated with the cost of his doctor's bills that he wants to marry off his young daughter, Angelique, to a doctor so that he may receive free health care. Unknown to him she has fallen in love with Clente, a young man she met at the Opera. With Toinette's (Argan's saucy maid) help, Angelique goes to battle to win her love.
This play has such a hilarious group of crazy characters that the audience will be siting on the edge of their seats just to see what happens next.
Excellent theatre for only $5.00. Looking for entertainment for the family over Thanksgiving weekend? "The Imaginary Invalid" is the best ticket in town.
