The Game's Afoot (or Holmes for the Holiday)
From Ken Ludwig, the popular playwright of "Moon Over Buffalo" and other star-studded plays, comes this play-within-a-play comedy thriller. It is December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, known for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. When one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities quickly turn dangerous. Gillette assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes in an effort to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit. Directed by Linda Jensen.
Fridays & Saturdays 7:30 p.m. Nov 1-22; Sundays 2 p.m. Nov. 2, 9, 16 & 23. Tickets are $16 for adults or $14 for seniors/students/military.
The theater is located at 225 Iverson St. in Poulsbo. More information at jewelboxpoulsbo.org or (360)697-3183.
