All's Well That Ends Well
Helena sets out for Paris to cure the King's disease - and is awarded with the man of her dreams! But Bertram would rather venture off to war than stay at home a married man - and he refuses to accept Helena as his wife unless she can overcome the challenge of his "impossible task." Will Helena complete her quest? With the help of two other very determined women she just might! This fairytale adventure journeys from France to Italy and back, with plenty of soldiers, scoundrels, courtiers, and buffoons along the way.
The Children's Shakespeare Theatre is an independent organization of children ranging in age from 8 - 18 who come from Rockland County, NY and surrounding areas. The company is made up of three divisions: the Knaves (ages 8 - 14), the Rogues (ages 14 - 18), and the Strange Bedfellows (ages 19 +). Under the aegis of Artistic Director Diana Green, each group produces multiple plays each season for presentation at various venues around Rockland County. The group's chief goal is to give young actors an opportunity to experience Shakespeare's words and deep understanding of the human experience, and to help them, through instruction in voice, movement, acting techniques and stage combat, to translate their experience to a broader audience of children and adults.
