Introduction to Lichens and Lichen Identification
Interested in lichens? Do you want to know what lichens are, where they grow, how they reproduce, and how to identify them? If so, this is the workshop for you! Shelly Benson, Sonoma County lichenologist, will enlighten you with the biology, ecology, and identification of these amazing composite organisms. This class includes a lecture, a field exploration, and lab time to identify lichens. The excursion will be 1-3 miles at a slow pace.
