The Judy Garland Show: The Christmas Special
(Boston, MA) 1963 JFK was in office. Pope Paul VI took the Catholic reigns, and the first ever X-Men comic book hit stands. But what most people SHOULD remember best from that year was Judy Garland's iconic 1963 CBS Christmas special.
Well, never fear, to those longing for the good ol' yesteryear of holiday cheer! This holiday season, Peter Mac takes to the stage of his new cabaret venue in Boston with his acclaimed Judy garland impersonation for an all-out Christmas spectacular based on the television special.
It's Christmas Eve and Judy is at home with her kids Liza , Lorna and Joey , singing and welcoming surprise guests. Who knows who might ring her door bell?! You can be guaranteed that the show will be packed with a lot of your Yuletide favorite tunes.
In Peter's own words: "I've done this show over the last several years in various formats, and it's always a lot of fun. The chance to warm someone's cockles is something I look forward to every year. It's always a lot of fun. The TV show was done in 1963 but in our world Judy is still here in present day. So, you won't know whether you are in 1963 or 2011. Which opens the door for anyone to stop by past or present!"
This evening is a festive recreation of the TV Special including appearances by Judy's kids: Liza, Lorna, and Joey. There are even a few extra special surprise visits by Bea Arthur and Ethel Merman! It features more than 15 songs of the season!
Jacques Underground is Located at 79 Broadway, Boston, MA 02116. Seating will begin at 7:30PM. The show starts promptly at 8PM and is a full two hours of entertainment! There is a $50 cover charge in effect for Judy Garland: LIVE IN CONCERT for General Admission and a $75 cover charge in effect for best available premium seating. Premium Seating is guaranteed to be within the first 30 seats in front of the stage. There will also be an opportunity to come up on stage and take your picture with Judy after the show. (Please bring your camera.)
Please note that in addition to this ticket (above called "cover charge") there is also a one drink purchase requirement. To that end there is a full bar with both Alcoholic and Non Alcoholic options available.
