Peace in Jerusalem
Seattle Peace Chorus presents Peace in Jerusalem. The concert will highlight music from Jewish, Islamic, and Christian traditions. The featured work will be Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, sung in Hebrew and accompanied by internationally acclaimed organist Doug Cleveland. The chorus will also perform the Arabic peace prayer, Daoona Nayeesh; Palestrina's Tu Es Petrus; and a new choral work by the renowned composer, Cora Jackson. Kamand, Seattle's Persian music ensemble, will perform classical and folk music, with Ahmad Yousefbeigi on daf (frame drum) and Milak Zendehnam on setar (Persian lute).
