Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) Training
Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), an inquiry-based process for visual learning, was developed by Educators at the Museum of Modern Art.
This method is particularly useful in the museum setting when used with groups of visitors such as field trips and tours. Visitors are encouraged to look deeply at art, to experience looking with others, and to use language to enhance their visual experience.
Peggy Vanbianchi, former Art Teacher at the Island School and Certified VTS trainer, will conduct sessions for Docents at BIMA.
Please sign up for EITHER Session A OR Session B: Session A: Monday/Wednesday, October 20 & 22, 9-11am Session B: Tuesday/Thursday, October 21 & 23, 9-11am
Questions should be directed to Kristin Tollefson, Education Director, at kristin@biartmuseum.org.
