Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents Chris Weller's Hanging Hearts
Dynamic trio dedicated to fearless exploration of group improvisation. CD release Tour. The group features it's leader Chris Weller on tenor saxophone and composition, Cole DeGenova on keyboards, and Devin Drobka on drums/percussion.
While most of of their output consists of CW's original compositions, they're also known to deconstruct songs in the jazz, classical, pop, and rock idioms. The unique voice of each musician on their instrument gives Hanging Hearts a freshly original sound and adds a powerful sense of sincerity to their music. Their debut album released mid 2014.
