Bachelors Grove*Special Event*-RSFF-Pit&Balcony
Based on a real life Chicago area cemetery, supposedly one of the 10 most haunted places in America, this is the first movie inspired by the subject as weird things start happening in a neighboring town.
Stars: Tim Krueger, Suzy Brack, Ned Ricks 120 min - Horror
Special Event/MUSIC AND MAYHEM Saginaw native Dan Smith composed the score for the 2014 thriller movie "Bachelors Grove," and from 7 to 11pm Saturday, Nov. 9, at Pit and Balcony Community Theatre we will host:
-- A concert featuring Smith and all-star band members Mike Brush, Laurie Middlebrook, Loren Kranz, John Rickert, Jeff Walikangas and Scott Vandell.
-- Presentations by Smith, the film's writer/director (Ricardo Islas), and two of its actresses (one of them Saginawian Tonia L. Carrier, who last year won a short film award at our festival).
Even though the film is not exactly a zombie movie, those attending are invited to wear their best ghoulish garb. Beer and wine available for purchase.
Tickets $10 general admission; $5 for festival pass holders. Advance single tickets and passes on sale at www.riversidesaginawfilmfestival.org. Sponsored by Janet I. Martineau
