"A Christmas Carol Times Two, Washington Territory 1853!"
It's "Washington Territory 1853" and "Thomas Hutchinson, Englishman and Amatuer Thespian" comes to life to give his talents in a dramatic reading performance of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. In fact, "Hutchinson," the character portrayed by performing artist Al LePage, will actually read an abbreviated version of the historic one performed publicly by Dickens himself! Heidi Kohne, "German Organist" brings her gifts to weave music along with the drama, and will play traditional English Christmas Carols that could have been heard during the Victorian period!
LePage is on a mission of playing to and with audience members to bring history and great stories alive! This will quickly become evident when you first encounter him before the performance as he speaks with some very special and famous guests in Washington history! His love of improvisation combined with a highly interactive approach means there's sure to be lots of drama and fun combined with fast action and probably some real surprises, too! Yes, since he's playful, likes to experiment and believes in seizing the moment, even he doesn't always know what's going to happen.
Kohne has at least one very high priority in her life, the pipe organ! Trained in organ performance and church music, she's been organist for two Presbyterian churches and is currently a member of the American Guild of Organists.
All ticket sales will equally benefit Friends In Service to Humanity (F.I.S.H.) and the Salvation Army in Vancouver to buy food to fight hunger in the Vancouver area.
