Golda's Balcony
"What Happens when idealism becomes power?" These words of playwright William Gibson form the underpinning question that tests the morality of nations and individuals when dealing with conflict. Through the life story of Israel's fourth Prime Minister, Golda Meir, we have the opportunity to view many world leaders as they attempt to use power to manipulate and control events and outcomes which most favor their position.
This 95 minute one woman non-musical performance produced by The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire and directed by Alan D. Kaplan will be presented at four separate locations during the weekends of November 21,22 and 28, 29. Professional actress Cathy Mckay will portray Golda with all the hope, concern, joy, despair and eventual success of the achievement of an ideal while all too poignantly showing the price that must be paid.
