Byron Schenkman & Friends: Beethoven
Town Music presents a series of three intimate recitals featuring pianist Byron Schenkman, voted Seattle's Best Classical Instrumentalist in the 2006 Seattle Weekly reader's poll. Schenkman and musical friends explore the music of Beethoven in the context of works by other 18th- and early 19th-century composers who influenced or were influenced by him. Seattle native Tekla Cunningham joins Shenkman for a program featuring the "Spring" and "Kreutzer" Sonatas for piano and violin, and the "Pathetique" Sonata for piano solo.
