Mystic Chorale - A Sea of Stars
As The Mystic Chorale enters our 25th year, we join forces with inspiring guests to celebrate the power of poetry in song. We will celebrate the music of many traditions from pop to jazz to folk plus a rousing Gospel piece featuring sixty youth from Dorchester's Boston City Singers. Local jazz greats Stan Strickland on sax and our very own Jonathan Singleton on piano will lift us, and special guest and literary musician Regie Gibson will electrify us with his combination of classical, jazz, rap, beat and slam poetry. As with all Mystic concerts, the audience will be equal participants singing along on songs like Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and a rousing Gospel version of "Go Where I Send Thee"
