Pathways 2007: Hello Baby!...Does Not Mean Goodbye Intimacy
Hello Baby!...Does Not Mean Goodbye Intimacy Dr. Pamela Jordan, Ph.D.
March 6, 2007 7:00pm -9:00pm
What's the status of your couple relationship? Is it titillating and all you ever hoped it would be? Or is it dead on the vine? When couples become parents, they often make the mistake of putting their children and their jobs first. The quality of your couple relationship is the best predictor of outcomes for your children (physical, psychological, academic, and social) and a major influence on your own health and happiness. Taking care of yourself and your couple relationship is the best route to a healthy, happy family. Come learn practical ways to bring your relationship back to life and keep it growing and thriving. Fall in love with your partner all over again!
Dr. Jordan's research focuses on the transition to parenthood, and supporting individuals and couples as they become parents. She is the developer of "The Becoming Parents Program", an educational program for couples becoming parents for the first time. The program teaches couples survival skills for taking care of their relationship, taking care of themselves, relating to their baby, and dealing with the many ways that becoming parents impacts their lives.
