Columbus Day Wine Class - Old World vs. New World
Was Chris Columbus on to something when he discovered the New World? Come find out as we compare Old World to New World wines. We will taste blind and Sommelier Yeshua Goodman will teach you how to tell the difference. This is a great party trick to have up your sleeve.
From Yeshua:
The wines and regions will be known beforehand, but the wines will be served blind. We will taste through the wines as a group and compare similarities and take note of where they differ. We'll reveal the wines as we go to see how we're doing. We will compare Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre and New Zealand; Pinot Noir from Burgundy and Oregon; and Bordeaux Varietals from both Bordeaux and Napa Valley. Cheese and Charcuterie will be provided.
