The Nightingale presents an evening of performance work at The Basement, Brighton.
BODY NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE is Jonathan Burrow's and Matteo Fargion's first overtly political work, commissioned by the Venice Biennale and taking as its starting point the uselessness of dancing to express anything of any real concern and at the same time the inherent, gloriously foolish radicality of the attempt. 30 minutes.
A LYRICAL DANCE CONCERT, by Gillie Kleiman and Sara Lindström, is a party in a comedy double act in a cabaret show in a gig in an experimental dance performance. 90 minutes
Between these two performances there will be a buffet served and an opportunity to digest the evening with the artists.
