GHOSTLIGHT 4: The Halloween Songbook
Halloween elite team THE JACKIE FACTORY (Jackie 60, Night of 1000 Stevies) reunite with co-producer EDITRIX ABBY (Click + Drag, Burning Man) for the fourth annual GHOSTLIGHT, a Halloween theatrical and costume party benefitting the HOWL EMERGENCY LIFE PROJECT, the East Village wing of THE ACTORS FUND. The theme of this year's GHOSTLIGHT is "The Halloween Songbook", focusing on the classic Halloween songs and horror film themes of the past 100 years.
Set in the venerable and haunted GENE FRANKEL THEATRE on Bond Street, the show will once again star East Village performance icons and rising stars from our neighborhood. The 2014 bill includes legendary legend JOEY ARIAS, butoh company VANGELINE THEATER, original Sex Pistol GLEN MATLOCK, Scream Queens DUELING BANKHEADS (CLARK RENDER and DAVID ILKU), drag star SWEETIE, Blacklips Performance Cult eminence JAMES F. MURPHY, thesbian goddess HEATHER LITTEER, edgy drag artiste SEVERELY MAME, chanteuse BRIDGET BARKAN and Gothic horror devotees THE RACHEL KLEIN THEATER. GHOSTLIGHT producers CHI CHI VALENTI and EDITRIX ABBY join the golden-throated MC PAUL ALEXANDER as the Mistress/Masters of Ceremonies and our divine DJs are JOHNNY DYNELL and SAMMY JO. Performances are in three sets at 9:30, 11 PM and 12:30 - consult our event page for complete schedule as we get closer.
