Newts of Pepperwood Preserve
Join Dave Cook, herpetologist and senior wildlife biologist at the Sonoma county Water Agency, for an early spring study of newts.
Newts are one of the most docile amphibians commonly found in ponds, creeks and surrounding woodlands. But did you know they are highly poisonous to would-be predators? Pepperwood Preserve hosts all three newt species that occur in California.
This class will include information on the life history, identification, and local habitats of newts.
