Mark Foster lives comfortably in San Francisco with his girlfriend, Erika. Everyone assumes that a marriage proposal is imminent â everyone, that is, but Mark. Fifteen years ago, Markâs parentsâ seemingly perfect union ended in a scandalous divorce that affected his ability to commit. Fearful to disclose the whole story to Erika, Mark chose instead to gloss over the details, a secret heâs forced to keep. Markâs world is turned upside down when his mother, Gretchen, schedules an impromptu visit. Making matters worse, Markâs abrasive brother, Hal, and his âperfectâ housewife, Beth, are joining them for the weekend. Mark is forced to make a decision; either come clean and confront his lies, or face a possible future without Erika.
