Self-Publishing--the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly -- Felicia Brown
Finding an agent and a publisher for your book may not be attainable, but self-publishing is available to everyone, and it has advantages. You, as the author, enjoy higher royalty rates, and retain full control of the content, the interior design, the cover, and the marketing. However, there is a steep learning curve to transform a story into a book. Pitfalls await. For one, you'll have to learn a whole new technical vocabulary. For another, you'll have to deal with young folk whoyou'd swearhave never looked inside an actual book.
Felicia Brown recently self-published her first book. In the process, she made every possible mistake but persisted until she had a book that made her feel proud. She will share with us the lessons she learned along the way. Whether you are a budding author or are just interested in the pitfalls of self-publishing, this is the course for you.
