CHRISTMAS CLASSICS & OTHER COOL YULE!
Waypoint Theatre Company is serving up generous portions of joyful Christmas Spirit and laughter! Enjoy dessert and our popular singing serenades 30 minutes prior to the show.
Various solos and ensembles including Frosty dressed as Elvis, "James Brown" belting out Rudolph and a return to the disco 70s with "Mrs. Santa" singing Santa Baby with the Dynamo backups.
There's also pre-show raffles including a Vacation Get Away!
Comedy Sketches include CHRISTMAS CLASSICS, with 4 actors hysterically dashing through every Christmas classic made in 3 minutes flat; CAROLS where a child enters the library seeking where to find words like Noel, pa rum pa pa rum, and why Jesus wore "green sleeves"; WE THREE KINGS, with the 3 wise men trying their hand at writing a witty song including the Marcarena and a rap; MATTER OF ANGELS features 4 angels spinning around on a 9 foot candelabra and their comic observations of the ways people observe Christmas; and NATIVITY ON THE SQUARE, in which figures of a public creche come to life on Christmas Eve, attempting to understand who they are. A drunken bag lady explains the Nativity to them in a manner that is both comic and deeply moving.
There will also be audience sing alongs of favorite carols and tradition sharing, concluding the production with the singing of , "Away In A Manger."
Total running time: 85 minutes, no intermission.
